RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - Lt. Gov. Walter Dalton has released his first general election television ad called "Talk." The Democratic gubernatorial nominee's campaign reports the ad was filled in Rutherfordton, Dalton's hometown.
The goal is to introduce Dalton to voters and share his views. It is reportedly airing across the state.
"In this ad, Walter Dalton articulates his vision of how he will move North Carolina forward," said Dalton for Governor spokesman Schorr Johnson in a notice posted on the candidate's website. "While Pat McCrory offers false promises, no details, and negative attacks, Walter Dalton takes a positive approach and tells us exactly what he would do--and not do--when elected."
A recent poll from the Democratic polling firm of Public Policy Polling shows Dalton trailing Republican rival Pat McCrory by six points.
