RALEIGH, (SGRtoday.com) - The gubernatorial campaign of former Charlotte Mayor Pat McCrory will hold its election night event at BlackFinn in Charlotte. McCrory, the presumed Republican nominee for governor, announced the event on Monday.
McCrory faces five other Republicans in the May 8 primary, but polling shows him drawing the vast majority of support among likely GOP voters. According to the campaign, the event is open to the public. Guests are asked to RSVP at 704-903-6651.
McCrory lost the 2008 gubernatorial race to Beverly Perdue in 2008. If he wins the nomination next week, he will face one of six Democrats who are seeking their party's nomination in the wake of Perdue's announcement that she is not seeking another term.
Polling shows Lt. Gov. Walter Dalton and former Congressman Bob Etheridge are neck and neck, but a chunk of Democratic voters remain undecided. |
