RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - The state board charged with providing community development and economic planning for the state is scheduled to meet Friday, October 12 in downtown Raleigh.
The meeting of the N.C. Economic Development board will begin at 9 a.m. at the New Education Building at 301 N. Wilmington Street. The meeting will be held in the 7th floor boardroom.
According to the state Commerce Department, the board makes policy recommendations to the Secretary of Commerce, the Governor and the General Assembly. The board is populated by 37 members representing government, nonprofits, private industry, and economic development groups.
