DURHAM, (AP) — The North Carolina Judicial Standards Commission has cleared a Durham County judge targeted by allegations from the prosecutor at the time.

The News & Observer of Raleigh reported the commission has cleared Superior Court Judge Orlando Hudson of allegations by then-Durham District Attorney Tracey Cline.

Cline filed the complaint against Hudson last year. She was removed from office on findings that she made a false and reckless attack on Hudson and engaged in conduct that brought her office into disrepute.

She is appealing her dismissal.

Hudson released the findings by the commission Tuesday.

Commission attorney Nancy Vecchia says the panel found there was not enough evidence to prompt disciplinary proceedings against Hudson.

Cline had contended Hudson made mistakes in judgment and had engaged in improper conduct.
