According to the Wilmington Star-News, the city's goal is to ensnare a minor league affiliate of the Atlanta Braves. 

 

The paper reports that some of the six designated sites are outside the city limits. One site, however, is riverfront property. Another is reportedly near the airport and across the Cape Fear River.
