RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - If you're a sitting county commissioner and you want to show your pride for your office, the state of North Carolina has the vehicle for you to do it: a personalized license plate. Legislation passed in 2011 authorized production of the plate once 100 paid applications have been received.

The North Carolina Association of County Commissioners reports it has been designated to receive the applications and $10 fee. The check should be made payable to the NCACC.
"Once the NCACC has collected the minimum number of applications, it will turn over applications and payments to the DMV to process," reads a posting on the group's website. "The DMV will then begin producing the license plates – a process that can take up to two months before they are available."
The specialized plate will include the state seal and a number identifying each county.
Access the application form and authorizing legislation at www.ncacc.org.
