Mecklenburg County Manager Being Treated for Pancreatic Cancer PDF Print E-mail

RALEIGH, SGRToday.com - Harry Jones, Mecklenburg County manager, has notified county commissioners and staff that he is being treated for pancreatic cancer. The Charlotte Observer published the e-mail from Jones on Friday. In the communication, Jones noted he had told the recipients about the diagnosis in December. 

 
"The treatments for pancreatic cancer continue," the e-mail said. I feel well and am working from the office regularly, as well as continuing to exercise and play golf. As my family and I pursue recovery, I know you will continue to respect my privacy."
