RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - Beginning this Fall, UNC Asheville teaching students will have the opportunity to earn licensure in Health and Physical Education. The program was approved earlier this year by the state Department of Public Instruction.
Applications are now being accepted.
The program is open to students currently working toward a bachelor's degree in Health and Wellness Promotion at UNC Asheville, and to transfer and post-baccalaureate students with equivalent course work
The addition combines health education and physical education as complementary courses of study. According to the university, students will learn how to implement a comprehensive program for students that provides skills to reduce risk-taking behaviors and encourage personal health promotion.
